Short and sometimes sweet

Having returned after taking a few days off from, well, from everything except eating, drinking and sleeping, I come back to the news that not very much has been going on in Tinseltown or anywhere else for that matter. There are a few stories worth an honourable mention in this news round-up, so I’m going to ease myself back in by summing them up in as few words as possible. This is either an exercise in minimalist journalism, or sheer laziness. It’s your call.
Haruki Murakami’s Norwegian Wood to be filmed after 20 years. Better be in a good mood if you’re going to see it.
Ford ‘Ka’ to be a new Bond vehicle - official. Hahaha. Hahaha. Hahaha.
Jude Law, Colin Farrell and Johnny Depp to donate their appearance fees in Ledger’s last film to his child. Genuinely cool. Nice work, fellas.
Radcliffe’s wand (I think they mean ‘penis’) blamed for new Harry Potter delays. Huh?
National Lampoon to make a Gladiator/Troy/300 spoof. Noooooo! Whatever happened to the makers of Animal House (1978)?
Last, and possibly least:
Jennifer Love Hewitt wishes she’d been naked more often when she was younger. I have nothing to add to this.
Well, there we are, my film-loving chums. Hope you enjoyed it. I’ll be back with something a little more substantial in the not-too-distant. Hell, I may even review a film or something.
