Quantum of Solace - Now It’s Personal
Written by James on November 2, 2008 – 4:32 pm -
Ah, the joy of finally using Picturenose as a bag to swing around my head, as others frequently do with their own blogs (we’re a website, actually, but the point stands) - namely, to bang on about something that has got on my wick, big time.

‘Singalonga’ Quantum of Solace
Written by James on October 24, 2008 – 10:55 am -
It’s that magical time again - since star Daniel Craig and director Martin Campbell blew their genuinely Ian Fleming-style Bond into the 21st century, with the simply marvellous franchise reboot that was Casino Royale (2006), 007-ites the world over have been waiting, with expectations understandably heightened, for Quantum of Solace (2008), the first Bond sequel ever (and it’s also the shortest film in the series to date, at a mere one hour 46 minutes).

Hail To The Chief: A Brief History of American Movie Presidents
Written by James on October 13, 2008 – 1:23 pm -
Following the victory of Barack Obama in the 2008 US Presidential Elections, Cillian Donnelly (author of what was Picturenose’s most popular post, 100 Movies To Be Seen Before You Die, until James’s Quantum of Solace review blew it away, ha-ha) returns with a look at how America’s Chief Executive has been portrayed on the silver screen. So, another list of films, eh Cillian? Nice one…

This is why the internet was invented…
Written by James on September 15, 2008 – 11:10 am -
You don’t need to look any further. A combination of movie mania, painstaking research and quite simply mind-blowing fun has been created, discovered and, thanks to the miracle of modern technology and the fact it’s now touted on Picturenose, everyone will soon know about it.

20 years, 10 terrible films
Written by Colin on September 12, 2008 – 4:56 pm -
Subjectivity abounds in this piece. I’ve no doubt that whatever I cite as my 10 most prominent cinematic pieces of chaff, there will be those who will cite at least 11 I have missed. You are more than welcome to point out the error of my judgement.

Short and sometimes sweet
Written by Colin on August 27, 2008 – 9:47 am -
Having returned after taking a few days off from, well, from everything except eating, drinking and sleeping, I come back to the news that not very much has been going on in Tinseltown or anywhere else for that matter. There are a few stories worth an honourable mention in this news round-up, so I’m going to ease myself back in by summing them up in as few words as possible. This is either an exercise in minimalist journalism, or sheer laziness. It’s your call.
